Want to win tickets to the Galway Arts Festival?

March 12, 2013 By SIN Staff

Galway Arts Festival is back with a superb line-up, and with a new student offer, it’s hard to find a reason not to go…

Glen Hansard is only one of the amazing acts on this year's GAF line-up.

The Galway Arts Festival is Ireland’s largest international arts festival. Founded in 1978, it has gone from strength to strength, with over 163 thousand attending 160 performances, talks and exhibitions in 27 venues over 14 days in 2012.

As part of the partnership between NUI Galway and Galway Arts Festival, NUI Galway students can avail of an exclusive deal that includes the following:

  • a ticket for a Festival Big Top gig of their choice
  • a ticket to the Festival’s headphone disco, Silent Night
  • discounted tickets for other selected festival shows
  • a choice of either a Galway Arts Festival t-shirt or poster

The GAF STUDENT ticket costs just €45 and can be purchased online at www.galwayartsfestival.com/student

The 2013 Festival Big Top line-up includes:

  • Grizzly Bear on Friday 19 July
  • Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band on Saturday 20 July
  • Glen Hansard on Thursday 25 July
  • Imelda May on Friday 26 July

GAF STUDENT allows a choice between any of the shows, subject to availability.

For €45 this package is too good to refuse, and for a lucky Sin reader, we’ve got a FREE GAF student package to give away.

Here’s how to enter:

  • Head over to  our Facebook page and click “Like”
  • Like and Share our competition post (don’t try to hide the competition from your friends – you won’t be chosen as the winner if you haven’t shared)
  • Post a comment below the competition starting with the words “You have to give me a ticket because…” The funnier your comment, the better your chance of winning

The winner will be chosen on Friday 22 March. Good luck!
